I like to set my taskbar to double size, in order to view all my quick launch icons....
....however, when I reboot it returns to single bar with only three icons showing...

...How do I fix this to where windows will remember the way I customize it?

TIA,
Keith

First off , What proggie are you using? I can probably assume that it's Windowblinds. If so, if you're using the shareware version, I believe it does not allow you to save the taskbar settings. If you have a paid version, make sure your taskbar is locked, and hopefully that will fix the problem. On the other hand, if I remember correctly, even some of the old (paid) versions of WB had a bug that did not allow you to save the taskbar settings. Make sure you have the latest version.

yes....sorry, I'm using WindowBlinds from ObjectDesktop....(paid)
...I keep it locked to do away with the lines on the bar...
...WindowBlinds use to save it, but since the last update (I'm assuming), it does not..

..Currently running 4.20.017

I'm using v.4.20.017 also, and my taskbar settings are saved. If this version is not working for you, maybe you should go back one version. What OS are you using? I have WinXP Pro.

quick question crissy, off topic.....

How do I get a image transparent for desktopX....I've used the pink background 255,0,255, but shows up on the around the image...

I'm using psp6....trying to make a round object, from this http://www.geocities.com/forbannerz/arbanner3.gif

I know its a gif. but I saved it as a BMP and still no luck....

Do you know how i can make the bubble in the middle an icon?

Can't view your link.
This page is not available.
You need to use PNG on a transparent background, instead of gif, or bmp.

about the original question, my taskbar does the same thing. I have the latest windowblinds from sdc. I think it started happening when I installed the newest objectdock. It starts the quicklaunch bar (which I no longer use), and sets the taskbar to autohide(which really annoys me). I try to not reboot as long as possible. Since I have a loptop I have no qualms about going into hibernate, and that saves everything.

and Koasati is right (of course he is) you need to use a png to get transparency.

Back to the original topic.....I tried on the other user for XP and the bar stays the same....So, my question now is....Can this be something in the Registry?...If so, can someone help me with it....
